UIUC E-Commerce Website
React.js, API Development, MongoDB- Developed responsive front-end components for React.js E-Commerce website and built entire Home Page front-end.
- Built RESTful API functions using Python and FastAPI to interact with a MongoDB Atlas database storing users and products.
As a Project Code UIUC member, I joined a new project aiming to build an E-Commerce website for UIUC students to buy and sell academic materials. I built the main landing page using custom React components for the header and item boxes. I also utilized my mobile software development skills and responsive design to ensure a quality UI on mobile platforms.
Although the backend to this web app was not completed during my undergraduate tenure, I was able to contribute to the RESTful API with GET and PUT functions to interact with the orders, products, and users collections in the MongoDB Atlas database. I built these using Python and FastAPI.
This project is still in development, but I am longer involved due to my graduation from UIUC and, therefore, my leave from Project Code.
